Volunteering

Nestled between the stunning Jurassic Coast at Budleigh Salterton, Devon, and the Pebblebed Heaths National Nature Reserve, our 221-acre pastoral farm is dedicated to producing premium-quality, 100% grass-fed beef and lamb, alongside pastured meat chickens, turkeys, and geese for the festive season. Guided by Holistic, Regenerative, and Organic farming principles, our approach draws inspiration from esteemed figures like Joel Salatin, Richard Perkins, and Allan Savory, ensuring that our animals lead happy lives while contributing to the ecological balance of our land.

We sell all we produce through our website and newly opened self-serve on-farm shop, providing our local community access to our organic, pasture-fed meats. We welcome volunteers eager to learn about our farming practices and hone skills in animal husbandry, low-stress livestock handling, Holistic Management, mob-grazing, pasture-raising poultry, and more. In return, we’re excited to learn from your expertise and insights.

Join us as a volunteer and immerse yourself in a variety of farm activities! You’ll have the chance to care for animals, assist with general farm tasks, help with customer orders, capture content for social media, work on maintenance and construction projects, and tend to the gardens. Our farm operates seasonally, so your tasks will align with the time of your visit—spring, summer, autumn, or winter.

With your collaboration, we aim to introduce new ventures, enrich our farm’s ecology and diversity, expand our local following, and continue championing the importance of ‘real’ food and sustainable agriculture.

While prior farming experience is beneficial, we offer comprehensive training for the tasks at hand. What matters most to us is your shared enthusiasm for authentic food, organic farming practices, and a deep appreciation for nature and outdoor living.

Please get in touch if you would like to visit us, for a busy yet very productive educational experience, longer stays with us are preferential.

We are taking enquiries from individuals or couples (minimum age 18 yrs) who can join us and stay for a minimum of three weeks, with accommodation and food provided.

Please direct all enquiries to info@farm2fork.co.uk

We look forward to hosting you!
