The Move to Greenway Farm

The Move to Greenway Farm

In June the whole farm moved!

From the small scale operation at Grove Farm to 125 acres of south facing land near Ilminster, Somerset. Now at the new ‘Greenway Farm’, Ollie can realise his dream of creating a sustainable, healthy farm that can provide good quality produce for its customers.

Over the summer work has been carried out to turn the farm to 100% pasture. About 70% was already permanent pasture, areas which have been turned to pasture for 10 years or more. Ollie has been adding herbal grazing leys to make improved pasture for the remainder.
These herbal grazing leys give a number of benefits, which you can read about here. Overall you can be sure that the new farm, with increased space for the animals to roam, better rotation of each paddock and more of the key ingredient, grass, will be good news all round.
